Charming Cabins & Retreats in Galena IL & Ellijay

This little cottage in the Galena territory was peaceful and had beautiful scenery. There were people staying at other cottages nearby and we didn't hear a peep from them. The cottage was very cozy, we felt right at home from the moment we arrived. Andrea really thought of everything you would need to be comfortable. There is plenty of seating in the dining/living room. My favorite was this fabulous green couch, it was the perfect reading & relaxing spot. The king size bed is extremely comfortable & has an upscale hotel feel to it. The cottage had plenty of room for the 2 of us and you could comfortably fit a few more people. We wanted to be close to downtown Galena without all the noise, so this place was perfect as it is nestled in the woods, it's about less than 10 minutes from shopping, restaurants, antique stores, etc. Andrea was great at communicating throughout the whole process and was quick to respond to questions. We really enjoyed our stay and can't wait to return.

Andrea was very responsive and provided us clear instructions on showing up and checking out. We were there with our kids and two young grandkids. There was plenty to do and it was nice to have 10 passes to the owners club. Our 2-year old grandson loved the air hockey table and the bathtub in the master bedroom. We all enjoyed the large, beautiful tables on the deck and in the kitchen. Thanks again for another awesome family vacation!!

This was a family get away for our 3 adult sons & their wife - girlfriend. One day everyone needed to work & everyone had quiet work spaces. We loved the spacious home that was decorated beautifully & loved the beauty of nature that surrounded us. The sunporch off the dining room is a special place to sit alone for quiet reflection or chat with family. The bedrooms were very comfortable & kitchen well stocked. We enjoyed an afternoon at the Galena territory club which was just over a mile away- pickleball & a workout at the gym-a lot of fun. Everyone was very friendly. We also spent some time in Galena which was an easy drive from the property. Our hosts were prompt to answer my questions & communicated reminders about checkout steps which I appreciated. Loved this place & highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!

My family and I had a wonderful experience! The house is spacious, the beds are super comfortable and there was just about everything we needed. I was really impressed with the baby/toddler items the house had available! My recommendation for anyone taking a small child is to take a baby gate as there are a bit of stairs. I would definitely recommend the house to anyone! My family is already talking about going back for the fall.

This cabin was a great location for our family of 6. Lots of space, great kid-friendly options inside and outside. Andrea and team were responsive to questions. Definitely make note of the steep roads to the property. Also, it’s very remote. Cell service was very unreliable. WiFi was good.

We had a wonderful time at Andrea’s beautiful home! It was perfect for our family trip - something for everyone. The property is gorgeous and private. There were so many things to make it feel like home. Not a thing was missed! We will definitely be back!!

We had a fantastic, relaxing stay at this beautiful home! The place was exactly as described with plenty of space for our family of six. We enjoyed the screened in hot tub, deck with grill, fire pit, wide variety of games, and access to the Owner’s Club. The location was beautiful and peaceful with easy access to downtown Galena. Andrea was a proactive, friendly and highly communicative host. I highly recommend her clean, well-appointed home and hope to be back someday!

Andrea was such a responsive and friendly host! The home was gorgeous and decorated with such a an adorable charm to it. We felt right at home and enjoyed the screened in hot tub, games and close drive to the pool and golf club so much! Highly recommended and would definitely stay again! We also had a huge tornado warning in the area and issue with our lock at the same time and even from her own vacation Andrea was responsive and sending help right away! We definitely will be returning!

We had a lovely time during our stay! The tiny cottage was exactly what we were looking for. It was cozy and quaint which was perfect for a girl's trip away. We particularly enjoyed how nicely decorated the house was which gave it such a homey feel to it. We appreciated the proximity to town where we felt close enough, yet, we felt peacefully remote. This place really felt like home away from home! and as a bonus, the hosts did a fantastic job providing all the details you needed for your stay, and it we felt right at home. We highly recommend staying here, as it was perfect for us and we would not hesitate to stay here again!

This place was absolutely fantastic! Everything was as described and wonderful, but a few extra high notes: The master bathroom was absolutely amazing, the upstairs was perfect for kids, and it was just an overall perfect setup for two families. The extras that were provided made it so easy and we didn’t even need to unpack everything because so much was provided! A truly perfect getaway!
