Other Details to Note

The house is located 1.5 miles (4 minutes) away from the Galena Territory Owner's Club that you have access to with 8 amenity cards provided. It has swimming, exercising, basketball/pickle ball (rackets and balls provided at the house!), and games. Also, 4 championship golf courses within 5 minutes drive, 9 miles (13 minutes) to Galena, and 17 miles (25 minutes) to Chestnut Mountain Resort. The cabin will be supplied with a few staples to get you started. You will find 2 extra rolls of toilet paper supplied, hand soap at each sink, 1 roll paper towel in kitchen, plenty of garbage bags, dishwasher pods, kitchen towels, sponge, dishsoap and hand soap. For the coffee lovers, we supply a container of ground coffee and filters for the drip coffeemaker, and 10 Keurig pods. Well equipped kitchen with enough plates for 20 (one in dishwasher, one on the table!). Newer washer and dryer with provided laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Our cleaning fees are directly passed on from our cleaners to our guests, we do our best to keep them as low as possible. Holidays are charged at double rate and last minute cleans (booking within a week) may be subject to extra cleaning fees. This is an amazingly serene private property with woodland views! There are no steep drives and it is just off of main roads! There is one decline coming into the property off the main road. Bring your friends and family, food, pack your bags and nothing else should be needed!

House Rules

1. The Galena Territory has a dark night ordinance that prohibits outside lights from being on past 1 am. Please make sure that all outside lights are turned off when you retire for the night and when you check out. If guests do not follow the light or noise ordinance, we are charged by The Galena Territory and will pass on the charges to you. Depending on which of these, it can be $150-$500.  2. Proximity Cards: There is a $50 charge for lost or damaged proximity cards 3. Hot Tub: Renter agrees to use the hot tub at his or her own risk. No children under the age of 12 are permitted in the hot tub without adult supervision. Always leave the tub covered when not in use. Do not wear sun tan or other lotions in the tub. Renter will be charged for any additional cleaning fees or damage to the hot tub. 4. No garbage service. There is no garbage service in the Galena Territory. Renters are expected to take garbage to the free garbage/refuse center in the Territory (address provided in house guide). Excessive garbage on site will incur a $25 disposal charge. 5. There is a double charge for cleaning if checkout occurs on a holiday (Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day) 6. Pets: We are responsible pet owners and understand wanting to bring your pet! There is a charge for hosting your pet of $30 per animal/night that will be billed with your total stay. If you selected a pet, you were already charged $90. We have a few specific rules for pets. Please respond, "Yes, I agree to the pet policy," if you agree and wish to book. - Pet must have required shots, licenses and tags, including name tags. - Guest must provide bedding/crate for their pet for when they leave the property. One dog kennel is available at the home (suitable for dogs weighing 60 lbs or less). - If pets are going to be on the furniture or beds, please provide your own blanket to cover these items. - If you plan to leave, please make sure your pet is crated. - Guests must pick up after their pet and discard waste properly. Doggy bags or bag station is available for your convenience. - Guests are responsible for cleaning up any “accidents” their pet has caused inside. Please notify us of any accidents or damage. - County Leash Law: it is illegal for people to allow their dogs to run free. The ordinance requires that if a dog is off its owner’s premise, the dog must be on a leash. - Guests are required to pay for any damage their pet causes.

Wooded location. You will not even notice the neighbors in summer! In seasons without leaves, the trees aren't as thick and you can see side neighbors. Walking trails nearby. Surrounding region has plenty of walking trails and places to explore without even getting back in your car. Owner's Club Access to Indoor/Outdoor pool, gym with basketball and pickle ball, exercise equipment, locker rooms, lap pool indoors and outdoors along with children's play area in summer. Amenities are never guaranteed and can be closed due to weather (outdoors) or due to maintenance. We provide 8 amenity cards/guest passes to use the Owner's club. Enjoy the many amenities of the Galena Territory besides the Owner's Club. Golf- 4 championship golf courses within 5 minutes drive Lake Galena- fishing and boating, no swimming. We used this Airbnb for a lowkey bachelorette weekend. The directions were clear on where everything was and how to get in/out of the place. The accommodations were great, exactly as listed. Andrea was friendly and welcoming and ready to respond if there were any concerns (which there were not). We all really enjoyed our stay here!

We stayed a week here. We absolutely loved it and had a blast. We had a mini family getaway. We only live 1 1/2 hrs from galena and have always loved it. We had great communication from the owners and they were very responsive when we do sen anything back. This was the best getaway and such a home like feel. I never wanted to leave. So much so, now my husband and I are planning on moving to galena in the future.

My family thoroughly enjoyed Andrea’s home for our mini Galena vacation. We were looking for a place to spend quality family time away from the daily grind and this place delivered. Every room was its own experience and the decor was amazing. Our favorite room was the elevated screened in porch as if we were in the tree tops. They thought of everything and we would certainly stay there again! We all loved it.

My siblings and I wanted a place where the six of us could be removed from the craziness of our everyday lives, and this location and home worked out beautifully for us. We could stay there, play games, talk, watch movies, walk, go to Galena, or just relax if we wanted to. Was wonderful--exactly what we needed.

The Galena Territory Owner's Club (4 minutes) Downtown Galena (15 minutes)- shops, restaurants, wine tasting, historic sites, Haunted Tours, Trolly Tours Chestnut Mountain (25 minutes)- skiing, zip lining This is a GREAT location for enjoying all of the Galena Territory amenities and the region!
