The Hygge Haus is an ideal getaway for two, yet comfortably accommodates up to four guests (six with approval) in the beautiful Galena Territory. This tiny home, featuring an organic modern design, offers two bedrooms and 1.5 bathrooms, with many added luxuries to make your stay unforgettable. Unwind with morning coffee on the deck, enjoy a meal at the dining table, or spend a warm evening by the fire pit. Main Floor: Open living and dining area with an electric fireplace. Full kitchen, perfect for preparing a cozy meal. Full bathroom with modern fixtures. Spacious deck with a propane fire table, a comfortable sectional, a grill, and a retractable awning. Upper Level: Bedroom 1: A serene space with a plush King bed. Bedroom 2: A comfortable room with a Queen bed. A convenient half bathroom. Amenities for Your Stay: Entertainment: Smart TV with Amazon Prime Video, Disney+, and Hulu, plus a selection of board games. Kitchen: Fully equipped with a drip coffee maker, Keurig, blender, toaster, waffle maker, spices, and all essential cookware and dishware. For Families: A crib is available for your convenience. Comfort: Central A/C, baseboard heating, linens, towels, and a washer/dryer with provided detergent. Outdoor Fun: Yard games including Bocce ball and yard dice.

The house is located 1.5 miles (4 minutes) away from the Galena Territory Owner's Club that you have access to with 4 amenity cards provided. It has swimming, exercising, basketball/pickleball, and games, 4 championship golf courses within 5 minutes drive, 9 miles (13 minutes) to Galena, and 17 miles (25 minutes) to Chestnut Mountain Resort. Security Cameras: For your security, there are exterior security cameras located at the front and back entrances of the property. These devices record video and audio but are not actively monitored. Starter Supplies: We provide a starter kit to get you settled in, including extra toilet paper, paper towels, hand soap, garbage bags, dishwasher pods, and laundry detergent. For coffee lovers, we supply ground coffee, filters, and 10 Keurig pods. Cleaning Fees: Our cleaning fee is passed directly from our cleaners to our guests. Please note that bookings made for holidays are charged at a higher rate, and last-minute bookings (within one week of arrival) may be subject to an additional fee. Pack your bags and nothing else should be needed!

House Rules

Additional rules 1. The Galena Territory has a dark night ordinance that prohibits outside lights from being on past 1 am. Please make sure that all outside lights are turned off when you retire for the night and when you check out. If guests do not follow the light or noise ordinance, we are charged by The Galena Territory and will pass on the charges to you. Depending on which of these, it can be $150-$500.  2. Proximity Cards: There is a $50 charge for lost or damaged proximity cards. 3. There is a double charge for cleaning if checkout occurs on a holiday (Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day) Pets: We are responsible pet owners and understand wanting to bring your pet! There is a charge for hosting your pet of $30 per animal/night that will be billed with your total stay. If you selected a pet, you were already charged $90. We have a few specific rules for pets. Please respond, "Yes, I agree to the pet policy," if you agree and wish to book. - Pet must have required shots, licenses and tags, including name tags. - Guest must provide bedding/crate for their pet for when they leave the property. One dog kennel is available at the home (suitable for dogs weighing 60 lbs or less). - If pets are going to be on the furniture or beds, please provide your own blanket to cover these items. - If you plan to leave, please make sure your pet is crated. - Guests must pick up after their pet and discard waste properly. Doggy bags or bag station is available for your convenience. - Guests are responsible for cleaning up any “accidents” their pet has caused inside. Please notify us of any accidents or damage. - County Leash Law: it is illegal for people to allow their dogs to run free. The ordinance requires that if a dog is off its owner’s premise, the dog must be on a leash. - Guests are required to pay for any damage their pet causes.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Everything was perfect! Very clean, just a short drive into Galena, beautiful waterfall nearby, nice deck and firepit to sit out and enjoy the outdoors. Would definitely go back.

Very nice location! Loved how cute and comfy it was. We stayed in the winter, and it was a challenge. My girlfriend (now Fiancé) did get quite cold and there weren’t spare blankets for us to use in the closets. We ended up solving the problem, so it wasn’t a deal breaker. Would stay again!

We reserved our stay for the Valentines/Presidents’ Day weekend. We have stayed in similar Territory cottages over the recent years. We love the proximity to downtown Galena and the surrounding attractions. Dining, hiking,shopping, site seeing and visiting historic sites are always high on our list. The charm of this cottage starts with its interior decorating. It speaks to comfort, relaxation and fun . The kitchen is well equipped and supplied. The appliances are clean and contemporary. Having a king size bed served us well. The baths and shower are clean and well supplied with toiletries. Tv, games, walking and hiking make it an all season destinations. We plan to return in the near future.

My husband and I enjoyed a quiet and relaxing weekend at Andrea‘s place. The house was so adorable and well appointed. We enjoyed making meals together and watching the sunrise from the back windows and sunset from the front windows. The backdrop of the woods behind the house was also lovely. There were so many things to do close by and plenty of walking in the immediate area. Andrea’s place is also quite possibly the cleanest Airbnb we have ever stayed in. We would like to return again someday and will also recommend her place to friends and family.
