Other Details to Note

The house is located 1.5 miles (4 minutes) away from the Galena Territory Owner's Club that you have access to with 10 amenity cards provided. with swimming, exercising, basketball/pickleball (provided rackets at the home), and games, using your amenity cards to access. We provide 10 amenity cards, most houses only provide 6 cards. Don't forget about the 4 championship golf courses within 5 minutes drive, 9 miles (13 minutes) to Galena, and 17 miles (25 minutes) to Chestnut Mountain Resort. The cabin will be supplied with a few staples to get you started. You will find 2 extra rolls of toilet paper supplied, hand soap at each sink, 1 roll paper towel in kitchen, plenty of garbage bags, dishwasher pods, kitchen towels, sponge, dish soap and hand soap. For the coffee lovers, we supply a container of ground coffee and filters for the drip coffeemaker, and 10 Keurig pods. Well equipped kitchen with enough plates for 20 (one in dishwasher, one on the table!). Newer washer and dryer with provided laundry detergent and dryer sheets. Our cleaning fees are directly passed on from our cleaners to our guests, we do our best to keep them as low as possible. Holidays are charged at double rate and last minute cleans (booking within a week) may be subject to extra cleaning fees. This is an amazingly serene private property with woodland views! There are no steep drives and it is just off of main roads! There is one decline coming into the property off the main road. The grounds are flat which makes a fantastic area for lawn games and people of all ages to be able to walk around. Bring your friends and family, food, pack your bags and nothing else should be needed!

House Rules

1. The Galena Territory has a dark night ordinance that prohibits outside lights from being on past 1 am. Please make sure that all outside lights are turned off when you retire for the night and when you check out. If guests do not follow the light or noise ordinance, we are charged by The Galena Territory and will pass on the charges to you. Depending on which of these, it can be $150-$500.  2. Proximity Cards: There is a $50 charge for lost or damaged proximity cards 3. Hot Tub: Renter agrees to use the hot tub at his or her own risk. No children under the age of 12 are permitted in the hot tub without adult supervision. Always leave the tub covered when not in use. Do not wear sun tan or other lotions in the tub. Renter will be charged for any additional cleaning fees or damage to the hot tub. 4. No garbage service. There is no garbage service in the Galena Territory. Renters are expected to take garbage to the free garbage/refuse center in the Territory (address provided in house guide). Excessive garbage on site will incur a $25 disposal charge. 5. There is a double charge for cleaning if checkout occurs on a holiday (Easter, 4th of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day) Pets: We are responsible pet owners and understand wanting to bring your pet! There is a charge for hosting your pet of $30 per animal/night that will be billed with your total stay. If you selected a pet, you were already charged $90. We have a few specific rules for pets. Please respond, "Yes, I agree to the pet policy," if you agree and wish to book. - Pet must have required shots, licenses and tags, including name tags. - Guest must provide bedding/crate for their pet for when they leave the property. One dog kennel is available at the home (suitable for dogs weighing 60 lbs or less). - If pets are going to be on the furniture or beds, please provide your own blanket to cover these items. - If you plan to leave, please make sure your pet is crated. - Guests must pick up after their pet and discard waste properly. Doggy bags or bag station is available for your convenience. - Guests are responsible for cleaning up any “accidents” their pet has caused inside. Please notify us of any accidents or damage. - County Leash Law: it is illegal for people to allow their dogs to run free. The ordinance requires that if a dog is off its owner’s premise, the dog must be on a leash. - Guests are required to pay for any damage their pet causes.

Wooded location. You will not even notice the neighbors in summer! In seasons without leaves, the trees aren't as thick and you can see side neighbors. Walking trails nearby. Surrounding region has plenty of walking trails and places to explore without even getting back in your car. Owner's Club Access to Indoor/Outdoor pool, gym with basketball and pickle ball, exercise equipment, locker rooms, lap pool indoors and outdoors along with children's play area in summer. Amenities are never guaranteed and can be closed due to weather (outdoors) or due to maintenance. We provide 10 proximity cards/guest passes to use the Owner's club. One for every guest! Enjoy the many amenities of the Galena Territory besides the Owner's Club. Lake Galena- fishing and boating, no swimming. Rent Kayaks and pontoons from the Territory Association. Riding stables Hiking trails Star watching (Dark Sky Neighborhood)

You will be given a personal code prior to arrival giving you contact-less access to our cabin. You have access to everything (minus a two small locked closets) is available for the guest.

Andrea was very responsive and provided us clear instructions on showing up and checking out. We were there with our kids and two young grandkids. There was plenty to do and it was nice to have 10 passes to the owners club. Our 2-year old grandson loved the air hockey table and the bathtub in the master bedroom. We all enjoyed the large, beautiful tables on the deck and in the kitchen. Thanks again for another awesome family vacation!!

We had a fantastic, relaxing stay at this beautiful home! The place was exactly as described with plenty of space for our family of six. We enjoyed the screened in hot tub, deck with grill, fire pit, wide variety of games, and access to the Owner’s Club. The location was beautiful and peaceful with easy access to downtown Galena. Andrea was a proactive, friendly and highly communicative host. I highly recommend her clean, well-appointed home and hope to be back someday!

Andrea was such a responsive and friendly host! The home was gorgeous and decorated with such a an adorable charm to it. We felt right at home and enjoyed the screened in hot tub, games and close drive to the pool and golf club so much! Highly recommended and would definitely stay again! We also had a huge tornado warning in the area and issue with our lock at the same time and even from her own vacation Andrea was responsive and sending help right away! We definitely will be returning!

We had the most wonderful stay at this beautiful home in Galena! It was the perfect spot for our family getaway weekend — we truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. The house was spotless, incredibly well-maintained, and thoughtfully set up with everything you could possibly need. From the well-stocked kitchen to the cozy fire pit and spacious living areas, every detail was designed with comfort and connection in mind. The location was also fantastic — tucked in a peaceful setting with super convenient access to the Eagle Ridge Golf Courses and everything Galena has to offer. It made getting around so easy, but we also found ourselves just wanting to relax and enjoy the home itself! Our host was exceptional — incredibly communicative, both proactively and with helpful reminders throughout our stay, which made everything seamless from start to finish. We absolutely loved our time here and can’t wait to come back. Highly recommend this gem! 💎

This place has everything for a cabin experience! Lots of games to play, firepit in the back and a hot tub to enjoy. The owners provided many kitchen amenities to help when we prepared meals. Pancakes the first morning was a great touch. Plenty of room for 7 of our extended family. Owners passes for the clubhouse was great. we worked out one day and used the pool. The host responded very quickly to any questions we had. Would recommend!!

This was a great place to relax. All the amenities were great! The description of the front of the house was slightly miss leading from the pictures. I did think that it was wheel chair accessible from the pictures. Then found that the front of the house has stairs leading down a hill leading to the house. However as I did not request wheel chair accessibility this is not a complaint just an observation. The house was amazing! Some few minor details were discussed with the owners and they were fabulously responsive. We followed thier instructions to the letter when entering and leaving. I loved that the grill is near the hot tub as I was able to relax while my son did the cooking! lol! Lots of fun! We enjoyed the game room and the fact that the TV is in every room! A must for older adults ! The location is near all the amenities! Which was perfect! We were able to book massages and get there within 5 minutes. Thank you so much for allowing us to be there!

This was a great Airbnb. Location was excellent. Easy drive to Galena and Dubuque. House had everything you could want and more . We spent a lot of time on the back deck enjoying nature. We had a problem connecting to the internet and they immediately solved our problem. We were a group of 4 girlfriends but the house could have easily accommodated more people. We have traveled and stayed in many places for our girls vacation, and this was definitely the best place we have stayed!!
